Ruth works as a movement director and theatre maker based in London. She recently obtained an MA in 'Movement: Direction and Teaching'. from The Royal Central School of Speech.  She has directed a range of shows including two new writing productions that went to the Edinburgh Fringe (2016, 2017) and one to the National Student Drama Festival. Through her movement direction she has worked with National Youth Theatre and The Tower of London (Historical Royal Palaces)She is an associate director with SpeakUp Theatre and continues to direct shows with the company. She has trained in 5 major dance disciplines at The Lee Academy of Dance and Drama for 1997-2014 and taught dance (ages 2-14) at this school and later at Triple Threat Theatre School.


Ruth draws on a range of experiences in her movement and directing work, in particular using expressive methods such as free dance and physical explorations. 


She is passionate about inclusive movement, in particular to body shape and strives to include these principles in all her practice.
