ABOUT
 
Ruth works as a director, movement director, choreographer and theatre maker working in London and the Midlands.

She has an MA in 'Movement: Direction and Teaching from The Royal Central School of Speech. Through her movement direction, she has worked with Almeida Theatre, National Youth Theatre, Historical Royal Palaces, Nevill Holt Opera, Guildhall, LAMDA and more. Ruth has taught actor movement at theatre conservatoires and universities, along with freelance workshops. 

 Ruth is an associate artist with Highly Sprung and SpeakUp Theatre. She has trained in 5 major dance disciplines at The Lee Academy of Dance and Drama for 1997-2014.
 
Ruth draws on a range of experiences in her movement and directing work, in particular using expressive methods such as free dance and 5rhythms. 
 
She is passionate about inclusive movement, particularly in relation to body shape and strives to include these principles in all her work. She has developed training and specialisms as a size inclusivity consultant.
