ABOUT
Ruth works as a director, movement director and theatre maker based in London. She has an MA in 'Movement: Direction and Teaching'. from The Royal Central School of Speech. Through her movement direction, she has worked with National Youth Theatre and The Tower of London (Historical Royal Palaces). She is an associate artist with SpeakUp Theatre and continues to make shows with the company, most recently 'LOVE (watching madness)' at VAULT Festival. She has trained in 5 major dance disciplines at The Lee Academy of Dance and Drama for 1997-2014 and teaches dance (ages 2-18).
Ruth draws on a range of experiences in her movement and directing work, in particular using expressive methods such as free dance and 5rhythms.
She is passionate about inclusive movement, particularly in relation to body shape and strives to include these principles in all her work.
